Design Thinking is a human centered approach to innovative problem-solving. Design Thinking seems to be a hot buzzword these days. You’ve likely heard it mentioned in meetings or hallway talk around the office. And you may be thinking that it’s something best left to engineers or the R&D team.

IDEO defines human centered design as a creative approach to problem-solving that starts with people and ends with innovative solutions that are tailor-made to suit their needs. In their Field Guide to Human Centered Design, they say, Human-centered design is an approach to problem-solving that has a focus on the people that you’re designing a product for.
